During the month October, several visiting professors as well as guest-speakers delivered lecturers for the postgraduate students, Master in Tourism Destination Management. Prof. Ashworth delivered an entertaining lectures about the urban tourism, its progress and paradoxes and heritage tourism. While Prof. Airey examines the tourism policies and the role of tourism organizations in Australia and Queensland in particular. Prof. Butler delivered two lectures, one on Sustainable tourism destinations: planning and implementations using the Destination Life-Cycle model and the other entitled Destination Development: Cycles, triggers and futures. Dr. Koens provided also a lecture on slum tourism: Gazing at the poor and its ethical issues surrounding slum tourism.
